Coaching Requirements

Altoona Soccer Club requires all head coaches to obtain a minimum of a US Soccer E license.

PA West is requiring coaches to have a license or  complete a youth module prior to the 2016 season.  Altoona Soccer Club will still require an E license which fullfills this requirement. Even if you have an E license, you are encouraged to take the youth module.  It’s an online course and a two hour field session.  The field session is Monday October 27th 2014 in Hollidaysburg.  Parents are also encouraged to take the youth module to educate them on the game.  Please pass on to your assistant coaches and parents.

The following link will get you to the online modules:

https://education.usyouthsoccer.org/

You will have to create individual accounts. From there coaches select the class (U6 select U6-U8 Youth Module PA West Online and U10 select U10-U12 Youth Module PA West Online) and with that, the online module can begin. Keep in mind that coaches can stop at any time and continue wherever they left off later. At the very end, the certificate of completion needs to be printed. Coaches need to provide this receipt at the field session.

All available field sessions will be listed here: http://www.pawest-soccer.org/coaches/Coaching_Calendar.htm (check for frequent updates)

This requirement is for all U6 In-House U10 Travel and U10 Academy coaches. Exempt are all coaches that have attended prior coaching classes including Youth Modules U6/8 and U10/12 E Licenses and higher.
